Thesis Grade Changed from Pass to Merit

Published on:

8 August 2024

Shalom, Daddy I want to thank God for changing my grade for my thesis from 55% to 67%! On July 8th, I received my grade for my final international online Master’s thesis, which I had submitted on June 30th. My cohorts and I were surprised at the grades we received because they were marked unusually quickly. Another thing we noticed was that we were all given the exact same overall feedback. We reached out to our supervisor via email (the only way to communicate with him) to request an explanation for the grades. He outrightly refused to explain and said that my grade—55%—was a good grade. Before all this happened, one of my prayer topics during the Top Living Fast was “to get distinction in my thesis and final Master’s award,” and I had laid it on the altar. On the day I got my result, I decided to praise God for it, even though I didn’t know what else to do or who else to report to since it was an online program. I kept thanking God for changing my grade. Eventually, I decided to report the supervisor and request a re-marking, even though my friends warned that it could make things worse if my grade was reduced further. On July 29th, I received an email saying that one of my cohorts had reported the same case and it was being reviewed. The very next day, during our Praise Warfare, I continued praising and thanking God for changing my grade. To the glory of God, on August 22nd, I received another email stating that our theses had been re-marked, and my grade had increased from 55% (pass) to 67% (merit)! I want to thank God for making this happen.
